National Institute for Plant Genome Research, is an Autonomous Research Institution, funded by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, and conducts basic and applied research in the frontier areas of plant biology. The Institute invites applications from candidates who have completed or will be completing M. Sc. (by August 11, 2008) in Life Science or equivalent in related disciplines with minimum 55% marks, and have cleared the CSIR-UGC NET exam / DBT-JRF (selected through BET) / ICMR NET exam for JRF (with a valid Junior Research Fellowship as on September 1, 2008), for conducting advanced researches in the frontier areas of Plant Science such as Developmental Biology, Signal Transduction, Stress Biology, Structural, Functional and Nutritional Genomics, Developing Transgenic Crop Plants etc. Reservations are as per Govt. of India norms. The selection will be made on the basis of interview only.

The selected candidates will be enrolled for Ph.D. program in academic affiliation with the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. NIPGR will provide shared accommodation to selected candidates.

Completed applications in the prescribed proforma along with bank draft, photographs, self-addressed envelop, attested copies of the certificates and mark sheets from Senior Secondary onwards should reach the "Director, National Institute for Plant Genome Research, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, JNU Campus, Post Box No.10531, New Delhi-110067" on or before June 9, 2008. Incomplete applications will not be entertained.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
i) Application should be typed on A-4 size plain paper in the format given
ii) Item 3 and 6 in the format should be filled in as shown in the Senior Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
iii) Each page in the typed application form should be signed by the candidate.
iv) Completed application must be accompanied with a crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 300/- in favor of Director, National Institute for Plant Genome Research, New Delhi. A demand draft of Rs. 100/- is acceptable from SC/ST candidate provided relevant documentary proof is enclosed. The Demand Draft is not refundable.
v) Application should be accompanied by attested copies of certificates and mark sheets mentioning the division obtained.
vi) Two passport size recent photographs should be enclosed. One of these should be signed by the candidate and pasted on the application form, while the other should be enclosed.
vii) Application along with Demand Draft should be sent to "The Director, National Institute for Plant Genome Research, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, J.N.U. Campus, Post Box No. 10531, New Delhi-110 067" so as to reach on or before June 9, 2008.
viii) Incomplete applications and those received after the closing date will not be entertained. The decision of the Institute will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
ix) NIPGR will not provide any travel expenses to candidates appearing for interview.

ADMISSION NOTICE 2008-2009

National Law School of Delhi, established in 2008 by Act 1 of 2008 of National Capital Territory of Delhi is another premier Law University Joining the band of premier Law Universities established in India. Vision of the University is to create a premier Global Legal Institute which would complete with the best within and outside India, with a View to imparting knowledge of various aspects of law to the youngsters and introduce them to a wide range of opportunities in legal profession across the globe. The state-of-the-art infrastructure of University with all facilities for learning and research in law is nearing completion at Section 14, Dwarka, New Delhi.

The University invites applications for a Five Year Integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) degree programme for the academic year 2008-2009 commencing from August, 2008.

FIVE-YEAR B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) PROGRAMME
ELIGIBILITY:
Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) System or equivalent Examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate (those who have appeared in the examination in March/April, 2008 can also apply)

AGE LIMIT: Below 21 years as on 1st July, 2008 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates)

TOTAL SEATS: 80 (eighty) [70 seats on merit through All India Entrance Examination and 10 seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit]

RESERVATION: 15% for SC Candidates, 7.5% for ST Candidates, 3% for Persons with Disabilities.

FEE STRUCTURE:
Tuition Fee Rs.35000/- (tentative) per semester. Academic Support Service Fee and other fees, Hostel and Mess charges will be extra. Hostel residence is compulsory.

SCHOLARSHIPS:
The University provides liberal scholarships/ fee waivers for the needy and deserving students admitted to the course.

Admission will be strictly on merit through All India Entrance Examination to be conducted at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Patna on Sunday, the 1st June, 2008 from 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm. If sufficient number of applications are not received for a centre, the University reserves the right to cancel the said centre and shift the applicants of that centre to another nearest centre.

BPE of this University or any other degree recognized by this University as equivalent thereto. PG Degree or Diploma (BPEd/BPE/DPEd) in Physical Education with at least one year duration of any University/Board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Should be below 28 years as on 1st July 2007 of admission year.

11 MCA (6 Semesters)

i) B.Sc./B.Com Degree or equivalent with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the optional subjects with 50% marks aggregate (including languages and 60% in optional subjects of this University or an equivalent degree approved by this University.) (B.Com Degree with Business Mathematics/Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects are not eligible) OR
ii) B.Tech Degree with 50% in aggregate or BCA/B.Sc. Computer Science/B.Sc.IT/B.Sc. Electronics. 5% relaxation in marks for SE/BC Candidates and pass minimum for SC/ST Candidates of this University or an equivalent degree approved by this University.

1. Candidates awaiting for results can also apply, however, they should have the required qualification as on the date of admission/interview.

3. Admission will be strictly as per University rules and regulations.
4. Relaxation in qualification and age for those candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/OEC/SEBC are eligible as per rules.
5. Candidates applying for the courses listed above should write an Entrance examinations conducted by the University. However for some courses admission will be done after counting weightage for the qualification as the case may be as per admission rules.

7. Application form can be downloaded from the University Website. They should enclose a Chalan/DD drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Calicut University payable at Calicut University for Rs.300/- along with the application.

9. Separate application should be sent for each course. Request for different courses in one application will be rejected.
10. Application received without DD/Chalan for Rs.300/- and incomplete will be rejected.
11. Enquiry regarding receipt of application will not be entertained.
12. University has the discretion to cancel any examination center without assigning any reason.
