The MBA Program is designed to provide both a portfolio of strong functional skills and the ability to apply, adapt and integrate those skills in different management settings.
Enrollment:
The students are required to register for the MBA Program of the ICFAI University, Tripura under flexible mode.
Eligibility:
Graduation in any discipline with 45% and above aggregate marks.
Final year degree students awaiting results.
Duration: Two years.
Admission Criteria:
The selection of applicants is made through Admission Test and Interview.
Admission Test:
Students seeking admission into the MBA Program are required to provide valid scores of GMAT/ CAT 2007/XAT 2008 / MAT or interview call letters for IBSAT2007. Applicants are required to appear for Magnus Entrance Test (MET) 2008. Applicants who have scored 60% and above at their degree exams are exempted from MET.
MET is structured on GMAT pattern with multiple choice questions and tests the applicant’s abilities in quantitive techinques, data adequacy, vocabulary and analytical reasoning. MET 2008 will be conducted at all Magnus Campuses. For schedule and admission test and other details on MET 2008 please contact the respective Magnus Campus.
Submission of Application Form:
Applicants can submit the Application Form for Academic Support and Placement Assistance for the MBA Program at the respective Magnus Campus where they wish to enroll
Interview:
The applicants will have to go through a personal interview. This is to determine the student’s attitude and motivation to pursue the program.
Original certificates should be produced for verification at the time of interview. The original certificates will be returned after verification.
The admission decision will be communicated after the interview. All the selected candidates will be required to pay the admission fee after the admission decision is announced on or before July 12, 2008.
Past Academic Record:
While evaluating applicants, due consideration is given to the applicant’s past academic achievements. Apart from the marks/CGPA secured, various academic achievements and honors obtained by the applicant like professional and postgraduate qualifications will also be considered.
Pre-MBA Program:
To facilitate better understanding and learning during the MBA Program, MSB has designed a Pre-MBA Program consisting of 4 courses. Each course will be covered in about 40 hours. The courses are:
Introduction to Business Mathematics and Statistics
Introduction to Financial Accounting n English Language Bridge Course
PC Lab
All students who are granted provisional admission will need to successfully complete the Pre-MBA Program. The Admissions Committee may waive one or more courses of the Pre-MBA Program based on the academic background, performance in the interview. The Pre-MBA classes start from July 14, 2008.
